The Express Entry BC program can expedite the permanent residency (PR) application process. We recommend this for qualified workers who are seeking a faster and simpler path to obtaining permanent residency status.
Prospective Express Entry applicants must meet the minimum provincial requirements for one of the following categories under the BC PNP:
- Skilled Workers
Candidates applying under the Skilled Worker category must have a permanent, full-time, qualified job offer from an employer in British Columbia. The jobs must be on the list of National Occupational Classification (skill Type 0, A, or B). They are required to have post-secondary education or training along with work experience in a professional, managerial, technical, trade, or other skilled occupation.
- International Post Graduates
These candidates are not required to obtain a job offer if they have obtained a postgraduate or doctoral degree over the past three years from a BC qualified institution in one of the following natural, applied, or health sciences programs:
- agriculture
- biological and biomedical sciences
- computer and information sciences and support services
- engineering
- engineering technology
- health professions and related clinical sciences
- mathematics and statistics
- natural resources conservation and research
- physical sciences
- Healthcare Professional
Healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and nurses, are in demand in British Columbia. Candidates applying under the mentioned category must have a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a public health authority as a:
- physician
- specialist
- midwife
- registered nurse
- registered psychiatric nurse
- nurse practitioner
- allied health professional
- International Graduates
The eligible candidates under this category must have a degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized 2 post-secondary institution in Canada. They must have a full-time and permanent job offer in one of the eligible positions (National Occupational Classification 0, A, or B) from an employer in British Columbia.
