ENTREPRENEUR IMMIGRATION – REGIONAL PILOT:

The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot (EI – Regional Pilot) is related to attracting entrepreneurs from around the world to establish businesses in communities such as Squamish, Osoyoos, Vernon, etc. Since each community has the optimal knowledge of its local business needs and trends, they are ideally positioned to identify economic development goals and support services that provide foreign entrepreneurs with a solid foundation to build their business. This also supports the growth of the local and regional economy. This program is an important part of the economic development strategies of cities and towns and stimulates needed investment beyond metropolitan areas.

Minimum requirements:

• A personal net worth of at least (CDN) $300,000;
• 3+ years of experience as a business owner-manager, or 4+ years of experience as a senior manager;
• Eligible for legal immigration status in Canada;
• Proficiency in basic English or French language (all the language test results should be equivalent to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or higher)

ENTREPRENEUR IMMIGRATION – BASE CATEGORY:

Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category is designed for experienced entrepreneurs who intend to establish new businesses or purchase the an existing one to further build and grow. British Columbia selects investors who have strong and viable business ideas using an online point-based system. Successful applicants receive a two-year work permit to establish and operate a business in the province. From there, they are well-positioned to can apply to become a permanent resident to Canada.

• A personal net worth of at least (CDN) $600,000;
• 3+ years of experience as a business owner-manager, or 4+ years of experience as a senior manager;
• Being eligible for legal immigration status in Canada;
• Proficiency in basic English or French language (all the language test results should be equivalent to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or higher)
