Nurse

Can a Registered Nurse move to Canada?

If you have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and 2 years of work experience, you are qualified to apply for a study permit. Upon your arrival, you will need to register in nursing school to get evaluated to ensure that you meet the standards in Canada. Your degree and practical knowledge will be assessed and then you will be asked to take courses to gain additional credits to meet Canadian and provincial standards.

This may take at least one year. In the meantime, you would be required to obtain IELTS 7 for you to be able to apply for registration in these courses. As soon as you get through these two required steps, you will be asked to take an examination, which upon successful completion of gives you the formal certification to practise as a registered nurse (RN) in Canada.

Once you have obtained your certification to practise as a registered nurse, we can help you to get your permit to be able to work in Canada. During your work permit years, you will be accumulating points and once you have achieved a passing score, you can apply for Permanent Residency (PR). Our experienced consultants can help you throughout this process.
